Tactical roguelike action game for PC
ENDLESS Dungeon is a premium action title for PC that was made by AMPLITUDE Studios. It is a tactical game that incorporates RPG and roguelike elements into its gameplay and is set in the award-winning Endless universe featured in various releases in the Endless game franchise.
ENDLESS Dungeon takes cues from multiple genres for its gameplay. There’s this action RPG-like presentation similar to Torchlight II, mixed with the fast-paced and intense challenges offered by roguelike, such as Hades. What’s more, it has a sci-fi setting that has been a staple in the developer’s past releases.
What is it about?
ENDLESS Dungeon is a co-op tower defense game set in space. You’re tasked with forming a team of heroes stranded on an abandoned space station swarming with alien creatures. Your goal, figure out what happened and make your way to the ship’s core while facing monsters at every turn. What’s more, you will need to carry and protect crystals that are essential to the ship’s power and survival.
ENDLESS Dungeon features a wide cast of characters to call to your aid, ranging from would-be explorers to treasure hunters, and even outlaws. Each one has their own story and abilities that they bring to the table. You can play the game solo or online co-op together with your friends. Blast through alien scum, defend your crystal at all cost, and hightail out of there.
As with most roguelike games, there is usually a relatively high difficulty curve that you’ll have to contend with at the start. As such, they encourage flexibility and experimentation when it comes to strategy, weapon-enemy match-ups, and if you’re playing with your friends, communication. You’ll have to wait before you’ll get to do any of this, though, since there is no exact release date for it yet.
A promising new co-op action RPG
If you’re a fan of tower defense games, ENDLESS Dungeon might be worth taking a look at. It’s a sci-fi-themed title that plays like an action RPG and offers the type of challenge you’d find in roguelikes. You can play it solo or co-op and you have a roster of different characters to choose from. If you like what you see, definitely keep tabs on this one.
