A worthy successor to Five Nights at Freddy’s? Nope
Emily Wants To Play is a game very similar to Five Nights at Freddy’s, only with a little more freedom of movement.
A bad night to deliver pizza
The premise of Emily Wants To Play is simple: you’re delivering a pizza to a house that seems abandoned. You arrive at the house at around 11pm – pizzas ready for the hungry occupants – only to find that the lights are on, the door is open, and no one is in. So, you do what any minimum wage employee wanting a tip would do, and walk in anyway. Which is when the door closes behind you…
Your goal is to survive the night.
You can tour the home of Emily Wants To Play completely freely, going where every you choose. That’s if you have the nerve, because as you explore three dolls and a strange girl named Emily are stalking you.
Suddenly, the only tip you want is how to escape this suburban horror.
Original but short
The way in which Emily Wants To Play forces you to face its monsters is original, and there are plenty of scares. This is especially true in the way the game lets you play with light, giving you control and taking it way to produce some truly chilling moments.
With every passing hour it seems new monsters arrive, increasing the difficulty, fear, and stress.
Emily Wants To Play has two problems: its story is not as appealing as that of other similar games – yes, like Five Nights at Freddy’s – and its replay value is minimal. After two games I got bored and want to play something else.
Still, while it may not be that expansive ,or be able to keep you playing for hours at a time, it does feel novel compared to some others in the genre.
Could this bridge the FNAF gap?
Are you sorry that there is still no Five Nights at Freddy’s 5 yet? Wants to Emily Wants To Play could sate your desires for a few days – but no longer.
