Location Tracking Made Easy
The Ele-Traces app is available for download on most app stores. You can also download its APK file from the app’s official website and this page. Once installed, Ele-traces will offer a convenient way to track the movements of any electoral officer.
Upon launching, you will need to enter your mobile number. The app will then authenticate your mobile number. Once done, it will then provide you with personal details which you will need to verify. The details provided include your sector number, AC number, designation, and EMI number. You will need to provide your one-time password after the verification.
Providing your OTP completes the log-in process. At the app’s homepage, you can see all the buttons you need to capture your location. To start, type your task in the provided space and tap the Start Recording button. This will save your task or purpose and start your location tracking. You can then leave the app running in the duration of your task. To stop recording your location, you only have to press the Stop Recording button. You can also add a note before you tap the button.
Ele-Traces uses a GPS system to provide an accurate location update. It requires access to your device’s location. Additionally, it needs an internet connection for the app to work.
The app sends all captured data to the remote service. This allows the Chief Election Commissioner Officer to check the location of any office from time to time.
No Other Use
Ele-Traces promises a convenient way to track the locations of all electoral officers. But while it provides an accurate report, it does not offer other services. Unlike other election tool apps, Ele-Traces does not provide information about the activities in the polling booths.
Another downside is that this app is for electoral officers only. Since its main function is to track the locations of election personnel, this app is not available for all app users. And while it does not take up much space, this program has no use outside the election period.
