“Electrocardiogram (ECG) Rhythm App: Corrected QT” is a medical calculator for health care professionals. It is designed to calculate the corrected QT interval (QTc) from an electrocardiogram (ECG) result.
QTc is an estimate of the time between ventricular depolarization and subsequent ventricular repolarization. The QTc can be used to detect ventricular tachycardia and identify the risk of ventricular fibrillation.
The “Electrocardiogram (ECG) Rhythm App: Corrected QT” app provides three different formulas for calculating the corrected QT interval (QTc). It also has a heart rate (HR) calculator that allows the user to input the patient’s heart rate in order to calculate the QTc.
The user has the ability to change the heart rate (HR) in the formula. The user can choose between three different formulas, namely Bazzet, Frederica, and Framingham.
The Basset formula is the most commonly used in medical practice. The user has the option of choosing the number of beats per minute (bpm) to be used in the formula. The user can also choose between a regular and a wide QTc interval.
The Frederica formula is designed for heart rates below 60 bpm.
