Command ancient Chinese armies in Dynasty Warriors Unleashed

Dynasty Warriors Unleashed is a mobile action RPG based on the popular console series of the same name. In this game, you take control of a group of characters from the medieval Chinese epic Romance of the Three Kingdoms and complete a series of missions, levelling up your weapons, armour and characters as you go.

Batter your foes and build your characters

In Dynasty Warriors Unleashed, you’ll undertake various quests drawn from the pages of Chinese legend, but they’re fundamentally all pretty similar to each other: pound a bunch of cannon fodder, fight some mini-bosses, collect some new heroes and then do it all again. That sounds repetitive, but the fast-paced action gameplay has just enough complexity to keep it interesting without being so complex that it becomes frustrating. The touch control scheme is simple, with a control pad on the left and a series of buttons for your abilities on the right. You switch between your characters using buttons on the top right of the screen. The main drawback is that this is a pretty demanding game: it’s a very large download and requires a lot of RAM to run, some older devices may struggle to run it.

Beat-’em-up RPG fun

Although it differs from the other games in the series, Dynasty Warriors Unleashed is a fun hybrid of an action game and an RPG for those players who have devices that can run it.
