Classic Doom game experience with Hololive theme

DOOG (Hololive Fangame) or also known as DooG The Game is an emulation of the iconic 1993 first-person shooter game, Doom, which was developed by id Software. What made this fanmade game unique among thousands of Doom-inspired game titles is its theme, Hololive—an agency of Virtual YouTubers created by Cover Corp. The game creator, David Wu SoftDev, made this game out of inspiration by an Inugami Korone stream who edited her face over the Doom promotional poster.

Doom in a new light

This Doom-inspired game offers an experience unlike any other as it depicts the action-filled game in a brighter light. You will enjoy aiming and shooting your target with cute and exciting music; as well as a more colorful game environment and background that is mostly in blazing pink  Although, its gameplay and challenges are also as intense as what you can encounter with the actual Doom classic game.

DooG The Game is a fan-made game that keeps track of your personal best scores. To boost more of your competitiveness, it also provides an online leaderboard wherein you can compare and see your rank among other players. Its interface and dialogue are translated into three languages: English, Japanese, and Spanish. You can also type in special words that have the capability to activate easter eggs. You will control this game with your mouse and keyboard—this can be customized.

Take into consideration that this is the first-ever published game of the developer. There will be some faulty areas and bugs that need patching up. For instance, the Korone voice clips are overlapping that it sounded strange to hear. Every step you take here feels like dragging feet, and it will often catch you up on stairs, which can be annoying.

Fun but needs improvement

DOOG (Hololive Fangame) is a refreshing DOOM-inspired game. It offers the same challenging gameplay that the classic Doom game is known for but with art and music that is much lighter than other emulations. The game also offers language options and customizable controls for your convenience. However, there are still some issues that may affect your game.
