Join Dante’s missions on your mobile device
Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is a free action mobile video game that lets you play the popular Devil May Cry series while on the go. Developed by NebulaJoy a.k.a. Yunchang Game, this fast-paced 3D adventure is an official mobile game for the DMC franchise and features classic characters with their signature play styles.
Similar in gameplay to Bayonetta and Darksiders, Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat doesn’t really change much of its combat mechanics from the original series. However, take note that this version’s user interface is in Chinese and can’t be easily changed to English.
Is Devil May Cry available on mobile?
Devil May Cry is a 2001 action-adventure hack-and-slash video game series developed and published by Capcom. Its story revolves around the misadventures of the half-human and half-demon hunter Dante as he works to defeat various forces of evil. The franchise is well-known for its exhilarating stylized action scenes—allowing you to juggle opponents in mid-air with your attacks and racking up combo points for higher style rankings.
The series eventually spawned a good number of succeeding games—and one of them is a mobile spin-off by the name of Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat. Also known as “Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat,” “Devil May Cry: War of the Peak,” and “Devil May Cry Mobile,” this game brings back DMC’s unconstrained fighting style and fun combo system. Its graphics and voice-overs are top-notch, as well.
Even if you’re new to this franchise, it’s easy enough to pick up the combat system. You get a voiced tutorial that also displays combos you can try out to get the hang of things. However, this version is only available in Chinese. All dialogue and narration are in English but the user interface is set to Chinese by default—making it hard to switch the language properly.
Tricky for global users
All in all, Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat does well enough to bring the classic and beloved DMC air combo action to mobile devices. Some of the original cast of characters return, as well, and the in-game 3D models do justice on their character designs. However, it can be hard to understand the HUD and main menu since it’s set to a different language that you can’t easily switch.
