Another installment in the epic Deponia series
The unique comic style and hand drawn characters are well known and well loved within the Deponia franchise. Deponia 4: Deponia Doomsday is an adventure game where this time you are trapped in a time loop that spells the end of the world if you do not fix it. There are plenty of twists and turns, and you will have fun trying to guess which consequences will be cancelled out or reversed by the time loop.
A find and click adventure with interactive objects and people
Most people thought the Deponia cult would end with the previous Deponia trilogy, but the Deponia game returned by popular demand, which is why we have Deponia 4: Deponia Doomsday. You are back on the junk planet Deponia with yet another point and click game. You are placed within 2D images with a 2D character to control. Hover your mouse pointer over different objects and people and the cursor will change if you can interact with it. You must then choose the right items to turn the interaction into something that helps you progress in the game. The game has charm, character and comedy. The only downside is its occasional earth-friendly agenda, which it tries to push ironically because they are on a junk planet, but it still comes across as preachy. Also, if you loved the previous three, you may be very disappointed by how the fourth and final installment ends.
Another installment for Deponia fans to enjoy
Deponia 4: Deponia Doomsday is not a step backwards, nor is it worse than its predecessors. There are over seventy new characters, and the developers didn’t skimp on new ideas. Even if you have never played any of the previous games, you may still enjoy the cute humor, the bizarre scenarios and the colorful characters that Deponia features.
