Motorcycle violence
Death Moto 3 is a free to play racing game reminiscent of the much loved 90s game Road Rash. Jump on a motorbike, and race and fight your way to the first position. You’ll need nitro, swords, guns, and rockets to win the game.
Not for turning
Where Death Moto 3 differs most from Road Rash is corners. There aren’t any. Races take place on undulating roads that inexplicably never feature corners, meaning steering is only necessary to avoid traffic and obstacles. You start armed with a sword, which you can swing at other bikers to take them out. You also have a gun, which can be upgraded to a rocket launcher. These can take out bikers as well as other vehicles. Each race has a number of achievements, asking you to make kill-combos, destroy opponents, and of course win the race.
During each race, there are power-ups to pick up, like Nitro bottles, extra health, and rockets. There are also runs of coins for you to collect, which are useful between races, where you can upgrade and improve your motorbike. In the garage, you can also buy packs of in-game currency to speed your progress through the game, or make races somewhat easier.
Casual mobile racing
Death Moto 3 is a simple slice of violent racing fun, but there’s very little depth to the gameplay, and the overall feel is a little cheap. There’s no backstory at all to draw you into the action, and the whole package lacks any character. It also features terrible translation, some of which is quite amusing.
While the action is reminiscent of Road Rash, it’s actually nowhere near as good as that game, which is now over 20 years old!
Accelerate, hack, slash
Despite its drawbacks, if you’re looking for some casual speedy violence, Death Moto 3 delivers. Just don’t expect too much of the game!
