Fend off sharks in this simulator game
Death in the Water is a premium heart-stopping action game for PC that takes you on a dangerous mission to hunt sharks underwater. This indie title from Lighthouse Game Studios lets you feel the thrill of having to go against some of the most feared predators of the aquatic world.
Death in the Water was released following the success of Shark Attack Deathmatch 2, which let you play with others online, whereas this simulation game is strictly for single players. It’s also important to note that it features some graphic content such as violence and gore.
Realistic graphics add thrill
Death in the Water boasts high-quality graphics to help immerse you in the game. It makes use of realistic physics, as well, so you truly feel that pump of adrenaline when you first start your mission. Your character’s aim is to kill the great white sharks that tread the waters below. You also need to make sure you steer clear of the sharks’ attacks so you don’t lose lives.
This simulation game also makes use of horror elements by making use of jumpscares that further add to the nerve-racking experience. The controls are also very simple—just use the W, A, S, and D buttons to move and click to shoot once you’ve locked in on your target. You will be able to move smoothly without having to worry about the controls making it hard for you to aim.
While the goal of the game is direct to the point, there’s not much you can do once you’ve achieved it. Even collecting all the achievements becomes a mindless and repetitive task, since you really only have to do the same thing in quicker successions to get them. This makes the gameplay feel much shorter, especially if you’re the type to explore games for hours on end.
Great potential but low replayability
Death in the Water provides a great setting with stunning visuals and heart-stopping thrill that has the capability of reeling you in. However, once you’ve completed the main goal, there’s not much substance for you to dig through afterward. The simplistic gameplay will be enjoyable for those that just want a casual game. If mini tasks or side quests are added, this game has incredible potential to gain popularity.
