Thrilling romance exploration game

Dear Mariko is a visual novel game that offers a thrilling experience developed by an indie developer, Coren Baili, for desktop plays. In this role-playing game, you will take on the role of a pink-haired girl named Mariko who comes homes and find out the goodbye letter of his boyfriend, Darien. Contrary to how simple it looks like, this game provides tons of horrific actions and scenes that can give you chills. The game is free to play. However, there is a paid expanded version titled Dear Mariko: Crimson. In this version, you can get an additional epilogue, more endings, fresh characters, and CG art.

A love is torn apart

Mariko and Darien were once a happy couple. However, their relationship was strained by Darien’s obsessive stalker named Shinku. The latter was so obsessed that she tried to kill Mariko. Darien had to leave Mariko, thinking that it could protect her. Sadly, it only caused Mariko to breakdown. She blamed everything on Shinku. Her hatred leads her to try and kill Shinku.

There are three possible endings in the free version—Normal Ending, Bad Ending, and True Ending. These endings are heavily influenced by the player’s choice to explore the apartment after reading Darien’s letter. If the player decides to scrutinize the apartment, Mariko will eventually hear someone rattling the doorknob. She’ll only have approximately 20 seconds to get a weapon and hide

A crazed Shinku will enter the apartment, calling out to Darien. As she discovers the letter, she’ll break down in a hysterical fit. Full of rage, she looks for a hiding Mariko all over the apartment. Only now, she is determined to kill her more than ever. The main story is fully depicted in the freemium version of this game, with three varying CGs you could enjoy endlessly.

Dear Mariko is a thrilling exploration game that lets you choose your ending. Every decision you make will influence your outcome. It comes with a solid plot coupled with CG variations to give you full immersion. You will probably enjoy what this game offers that you will consider paying for the extended version.
