Arena-based first-person shooter for PC

DEAD GAEM is a free action game created by indie dev DEAD GAEM. It’s a first-person shooter inspired by the classic arena-style FPS titles that were incredibly popular a couple of decades ago. It features deathmatches in various maps and various weapon drops to choose from.

Much like Quake 4 and Unreal Tournament, DEAD GAEM features familiar gameplay that long-time fans will appreciate and enjoy. Battles are still done in open arenas offering weapons to fit every play style. What’s more, it features an original story that has multiple possible endings to it.

What is DEAD GAEM all about?

Quake and Unreal Tournament were some of the most popular and beloved game franchises for fans of FPS back in the day. They offered fun and frenetic gameplay coupled with over-the-top action and physics. DEAD GAEM follows in the same vein and offers a similar experience that you’ll enjoy. It also isn’t afraid to poke fun at itself with its crazy narrative to makes things more interesting.

You and others get ripped from your eternal slumber to impersonate 90s shooter stereotypes and forced to duke it out and frag one another. Deathmatches are held in arena-type maps where anything goes. Jump, strafe, and shoot your way to be the last one standing. The game brings back a classic game mechanic by having random weapon spawns throughout the match, keeping things varied, unpredictable, and more challenging for you.

As if it wasn’t bizarre enough, there is an actual story to experience in this game too. What’s more, it even has multiple endings that you can unlock through multiple replays. As of this writing, DEAD GAEM is available as just a demo, though. It is still in active development and has yet to be fully completed. Just keep that in mind before trying it out.

An ode to the great classics

If you grew up playing and enjoying Quake and Unreal Tournament, think of DEAD GAEM as a quirky and bizarre reimagining of those classics for today’s gamers. It features the same look and gameplay that long-time fans will appreciate and new players to experience and enjoy. Hopefully, it gets finished and released soon. Worth checking out.
