Day of Infamy is a WWII FPS, not a war movie game
Day of Infamy is a first-person shooter set during the Second World War. In it, you take on the role of one of nine classes of soldier on the battlefields of war-torn Europe. This is a demanding game, and one that requires careful tactical thinking to achieve victory. Stay alert and cooperate with your squad or get used to defeat.
Like a real WWII battle, but more fun
Day of Infamy is a tactical challenge that relies more on cooperation with your team and quick thinking than on firepower and bravado. Although success earns you the ability to unlock new ranks, these ranks don’t give you any advantage in terms of gameplay: victory in this game is about skill and experience, not who’s got the bigger gun. Each class has its own special abilities, and they often intersect: for instance, the Officer class can call in air strikes and supply drops, but only by working closely together with the Radioman class. Each mission has different objectives, and there are a range of multiplayer gameplay modes, including large battles with players on both sides as well as co-op gameplay in which you team up with your friends to take on AI enemies.
A historical shooter for gamers who like danger
If you like historical shooters and don’t mind a little bit of a challenge, Day of Infamy is well worth checking out.
