Launch Dashboard quickly
One of the things I really hate about the Mac Dashboard is how long it can take for it to come up, especially when you have a lot of widgets installed and running.
Luckily Dashboard KickStart manages to make it come up really quickly. The application is simple to install and set up, and won’t do anything else, but having it on will improve the flow of Dashboard.
The program doesn’t eat up a lot of memory and can be left on any time.
You’ll truly see how effective Dashboard Kickstart the first time you launch your Dashboard or when you bring it up after your Mac was asleep.
The only real drawback to the app is the uninstallating process. You’ll have to uncheck ‘Start Dashboard KickStart on login’ in the preference window and then press the ‘Quit Dashboard KickStart’.
Dashboard KickStart is not a widget. With Dashboard KickStart, you’ll always have the Dashboard ready to use the first time you want. Without it you’ll have to wait for a complete Dashboard start-up sequence as soon as you are ready use it for a first time, making its quick accessibility rather useless.
