Find cover art for your music collection
If you’re anything like me, you probably like to have your music collection perfectly organized. And an important part of that organization is album covers.
CovArt Ops can lend you a hand with the always boring task of checking whether you have cover artwork for all the folders – that is, albums – inside your music collection. Results are displayed in a list on the program’s interface, where you can preview the cover and also see the albums that are missing artwork. There’s no option to download those missing covers though.
All you have to do is run CovArt Ops (no installation required) and set the location of your music collection. The program will scan the selected directory for any image, and also for cover data in ID3v2 tags. CovArt Ops checks for files with different names (“cover”, “folder”, “front”) and also in different formats (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF).
If there’s more than one image inside the folder, CovArt Ops will list them so that you can preview them in the program. Other interesting options are the possibility to export the list to CSV or register the program with Windows Explorer to make it even easier to use.
CovArt Ops is a small handy app that helps you keep an organized and well illustrated music collection.
