Contre Jour is a puzzle game for iOS. Moving a small spherical creature named Petit around the sixty levels while collecting lights distributed among them, Contre Jour is the perfect blend of simple and addictive.

The first thing that stands out from Contre Jour is its visuals. Screenshots do not show how beautiful the game is in motion. The limited colors add to the appeal of Contre Jour by looking a little dark, but show off a large number of animations. Even in the background there is something moving while players attempt to solve the puzzles.

Contre Jour also features an atmospheric orchestral soundtrack that fits perfectly. It adjusts to the mood of each level and keeps players focused on moving Petit towards the exit.

Gameplay in Contre Jour is a combination of environment manipulation and tool use to move Petit. Players do not directly control Petit in Contre Jour, they morph the ground and use different tools like elastic and static bands to maneuver Petit. Later levels also include air geysers that can shoot Petit across areas and even portals. The puzzles of Contre Jour gradually increase in difficulty, but never become frustrating. It may take a few moments of looking over a level to find the proper path for Petit, but finding the answer is achievable.

Contre Jour is a great addition to puzzle games because of its distinct visuals and addictive gameplay.
