A VR hack & slash action game
Conquer puts you in a mythical world where you fight a series of beasts with sharp weapons and weapons endowed with some form of holy power. Your aim is to survive and score points.
Better graphics than the VR industry deserves
The developers of Conquer have created a game that looks good. It will probably feel very dated in about five years, but by today’s standards it has great graphics. The only problem is that even the smallest things take a lot of work when creating VR games, which is why there is a lack of weapons, why the game feels so short, and why there is a relative shortage of enemies when you compare it with regular hack & slash games. There are battle skills that you learn in the game, and the counter-attack move is very satisfying.
A great effort by the developers
Conquer is a game where the developers have clearly organized themselves and worked in large groups to create a game that looks as good as this looks. There were a series of bugs and issues with the game, but they have been cleared up. The game feels a little empty at time since there is only a small selection of weapons and not a great deal of enemy variety, but it is a great hack & slash game for people who are new to VR technology.
