Share your iPhoto and iTunes libraries with your Xbox 360
Applications that can connect your Mac to your games console, be it Wii, Xbox 360 or PS3 are in high demand. As the name suggests, Connect360 lets your Mac interact with your Xbox 360.
As soon as Connect360 is launched and that your Xbox 360 is turned on and connected you should which services have been detected and which ones are active in the program’s interface. Although you can connect your Xbox 360 via cable, Connect360 also works well via WiFi.
Connect360 handles all sorts of media, from image files to videos and audio tracks. It works particularly well with iTunes, so you can easily browse for and play back music via your Xbox 360.
If there are any file formats that the application may have trouble dealing with Connect360 will normally transcode them to a format that the Xbox 360 will be able to play.
If there is one glaring issue in Connect 360, it’s simply that it doesn’t handle subcategories, or folders in folders. Unfortunately a new version of the application hasn’t been released in a while, but we hope the next iteration will solve this issue.
Connect360 is a solid application to stream all your media seamlessly from your Mac to your Xbox 360.
