Monitor With Ease
CMS is a free security and privacy software that allows you to easily manage your security monitoring system. Developed by NovoSun Technology Limited, CMS is a surveillance operating client that is used in conjunction with CyeWeb, NovoSun’s own video surveillance program that serves as the server program for recording or streaming videos captured by your equipment. NovoSun CMS is designed for large-scale video surveillance deployment and projects so if you need to handle a large place, this is a good client software to try.
Stay Vigilant
Video surveillance programs are pretty abundant and can sometimes be for very specific uses, such as home security or monitoring places prone to crime. Some of these programs were designed and optimized for specific brands of security cameras, while others can be set up with cameras that don’t have built-in programs and can be used alongside other brands of security equipment. CMS is one of these and is pretty handy if you happen to prefer differing brands for your various other devices like video cards and webcams. CMS stands for Central Monitor System and true to its name, CMS’ purpose is being the main surveillance system that you’ll be using in order to keep an eye on various locations with your security equipment. Other than CyeWeb, EyeSphere also has CMS. NovoSun Tech’s CyeWeb acts as CMS’ local server for storing captured videos. It’s a network hybrid digital video recorder—or an NVR software. Using these two together can guarantee a seamless operation of whatever scale you plan.
Keep An Eye Everywhere
CMS has tons of features that make it easy for you to handle your surveillance equipment. For one, it can host multiple PCs to stream live video feeds. It has an unlimited connection to CyeWeb servers and channels—even vice-versa. You can use different layout templates for the video channels and even show the e-map and 64 live video channels concurrently in the same monitor, at most. When it comes to alarms being triggered, you can easily find which video feed has the alarm by looking at the multi-level e-map. In the case of multiple people needing to have access to CMS, each user is granted one ID and password to log in. CMS also allows you to control your cameras’ pan, tilt, zoom, and focus features, amongst other things. You can create a panorama view by combining multiple camera videos and one single video. For playback, you can quickly find videos by filtering the date and time, enabling either single or multi-video playback. The software even lets you set pop-ups and alarm messages for live updates.
Take Control
Overall, CMS is a great software for security purposes, especially if you happen to be manning a large operation that needs a dedicated monitoring system to keep track of everything on the cameras. It’s pretty easy to set up—take note, however, that you’ll be needing CyeWeb and .NET Framework installed on your computer for it to work—but configuring it takes a bit of some advanced skills with such a program. If you’re a beginner with this kind of thing, you’ll have to dive deep into the tutorials for it.
