How long till Santa drops by your house?
Of course, none of us need reminding as to when Christmas is. But if you’re the kind of person who likes to feel the magical day getting ever closer then Christmas Countdown! is the app for you.
Christmas Countdown! provides a festive background with a countdown timer showing you the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds until the big day. You can choose to view this information together, or isolate specific units of measurement (i.e. show the total number of seconds, minutes, hours, etc. until Christmas day).
Besides the elegant wintry image, Christmas Countdown! also includes a fun version of Jingle Bells that plays on a loop while the app is open. This does tend to get a bit annoying, so it would be nice if the developer could add some more tunes (and perhaps even more background images).
Christmas Countdown! also includes a feature for emailing your friends and family with a countdown, so you can be sure they know exactly how much longer they’ve got to get your presents!
A word of warning about the Einstein advert at the bottom of the screen in Christmas Countdown! This apparent ‘Trivia Game’ is actually an ad for a subscription quiz service that costs $10 per month, so be careful not to go down this route unless that’s what you want.
It’s not the most useful app in the World, but Christmas Countdown! offers a nice way to crank up festive excitement.
