Rescue photos and videos from memory cards

There’s nothing worse than returning from a big trip and then finding that your digital camera’s memory card is either damaged or won’t allow you to access the photos.

CardRescue has been designed to make it as easy as possible to rescue data in such a situation so that almost anyone can use it. CardRescue quickly scans your cards for evidence of images and videos and then shows you a thumbnail of what may be recoverable. It works with most major card types including SD, CF, xD cards and Sony MemorySticks. Using CardRescue is extremely easy – just connect your camera and CardRescue will perform a full scan of the card. It will then show which images, if any, can be recovered. Finally, it will recover them to the destination folder you configured at the beginning of the process. Note that you can also customize which types of file you want it to search for if you want searches to be performed more quickly.

CardRescue can also help in the case of photos that have been accidentally deleted, as most digital cameras do not always fully wipe pictures completely from your camera. Some cameras only remove the filenames and file entry structure but the actual images or videos are still recoverable. However, it has to be said for the vast majority of cards, formatting or deletion is usually irreversible and the chances are you’ll find that CardRescue can’t help you.

Extremely easy to use, you’ve got nothing to lose by giving CardRescue a go if you’ve lost precious images or video from your memory card.
