See into the future with Google’s fun virtual reality project
Cardboard is Google’s foray into the world of virtual reality. This app allows you to demo the new technology, trying out cool virtual experiences such as flying around the world with Google Earth, looking around photo spheres, driving through Paris with Street View, and watching YouTube on a a huge screen.
It’s great fun, but it takes quite some setting up as you first need to make your own VR viewer out of cardboard, lenses, magnets and such. Alternatively, you can buy a viewer on eBay.
