Bustime – Tracking Public Transportation in Russia
Bustime is a Russian application for tracking public transportation through the GPS/GLONASS system. It has the ability to track public transportation in multiple cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Khabarovsk, and the cities of the South, such as Sochi, Anapa, Krasnodar, and others.
Bustime tracks public transportation in over 80 cities in Russia. In order to do that, it needs to have access to the internet and the location of the device.
What is a public transportation tracker?
A public transportation tracker is a service that provides information about the location of public transportation in a specific area.
How does it work?
When you start the application, it automatically detects your current location. It then asks you for your permission to use your location, and if you grant it, it will start tracking the location of your device. It then receives information from the GPS/GLONASS system about the location and time of departure or arrival of the bus, tram, or other vehicle.
