The action racing game is back
After its release ten years ago, the popular racing game, Burnout Paradise, is back to show the true definition of a smash hit. With Burnout Paradise Remastered, the game will once again set the bar high for action racing games—with its breakneck racing, high-flying stunts, and shameless amount of automotive destruction. This new and improved game version will relive high-octane stunts and couple it up with a wide range of technical enhancements to give players high visual fidelity and authenticity. Toss out your driving handbook and get ready to trash your friends or join forces with them to demolish hundreds of online challengers.
Back on the Track
Burnout Paradise Remastered comes with the same gameplay its previous version had. Your main goal will be to complete events and unlock vehicles on your way to upgrading your Paradise City driver’s license. Each license upgrade will need you to go through a certain number of events to advance, and as you advance, you get to unlock better cars. In addition to Paradise City, Burnout Paradise Remastered will also let you race it out on Big Surf, a previously console-only map. Both game maps boast an immersive and memorable look that makes the game rank with some of the best car racing games, such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted. It comes with compelling locales, including tunnels, bridges, train tracks, and quarry to give you lots of places to discover.
In addition to the new game map, Burnout Paradise Remastered also improved its vehicular fleet. Gone are the Chevrons that you drove in the first Burnout Paradise game. This game lets you choose cars that have appropriate ratings and relevant boost types for certain events. It also has tight, grip-centric handling that is a welcome change from the brake-and-drift mechanics of the modern-day car racing game. The game offers both local and online multiplayer modes, allowing you to play with and against your friends.
All in all, Burnout Paradise Remastered is an engaging game that racing game fanatics can try their hands on. It recaptured the original version’s hectic racing action, all the while bringing visual improvements to make it even better.
