Create the ultimate bridges
Build a Bridge! is a free puzzle mobile video game that lets you put your engineering skills to the test. Developed by BoomBit Games, this half-2D and half-3D physics-based simulation game features various levels that offer an increasing scale of difficulty.
Similar to Bridge Constructor and Poly Bridge, Build a Bridge! has you drafting designs for different types of bridge requirements in a 2D interface first. Then, you can test it out in 3D and see if your idea will work while vehicles drive through it—making for a fun little game that lets you experiment.
How many levels does Build a Bridge have?
In Build a Bridge!, the goal is simple: you must go through two phases of the bridge construction and complete a working design while sticking to the proposed budget. In the planning phase, the interface becomes 2D and allows you to easily draw bridge components by simply connecting dots. You must either use the sturdiest materials or the physics itself to keep your bridge standing firm.
Then, during the testing phase, the world goes 3D and you can watch as a car drives through your design to check its stability. There are two modes available: Normal Mode and Easy Mode. The latter offers a more relaxed playthrough and encourages creativity. However, if you’re having a hard time getting through all 86 or so levels, there’s always the hint system to help you out.
The gameplay is easy enough to understand thanks to its intuitive tutorial system. The graphics make for an eye-catching game, too. However, the game is heavily riddled with long ads that often play for 30 seconds. This can put off most players—especially after a few times of continuously being bombarded with such ads when they want to progress through several levels quickly.
An enjoyable bridge construction endeavor
All in all, Build a Bridge! is a nice construction puzzle game if you like testing out designs and doing trial-and-error runs in your gameplay. Not only are the mechanics easy to follow even with touchscreen controls, but there are also several levels and modes to keep you preoccupied. However, the game could use fewer ads in-between some of the levels.
