Multi-boot management tool for PC

Boot-US is a free utility program for PC created by developer Ulrich Straub. It is a universal boot manager tool that helps users to easily switch between operating systems. It makes it simple for them to manage different OS installations on the same computer regardless of which storage device they’re located.

Boot-US essentially works the same way as other boot managers like EasyUEFI or EasyBCD. What makes it stand out is the fact that it can handle any number of OS installations, on any drive, as well as some open-source operating systems powered by Linux, for example.

Any OS under the sun

Boot-US is a lightweight and easy-to-use boot manager that can be used from inside Windows. When you first open it, it will immediately scan all drives for any OS that might be installed on them, and present everything in a simple and detailed list. From there, pick the drive you want to manage, and get options like setting boot priority, adding security passwords, adding a startup sound, and many more.

One of the standout features in Boot-US is that it virtually supports all types of operating systems, from Windows to macOS, and even some open-source distributions based on Linux. Partitions can be freely added, deleted, or modified as needed. Once you get used to using it, you can run in Stealth Mode and just trigger it via a hotkey whenever you need it.

Other extras include the option to generate reports in text format and the ability to use the tool from a command line if you wish. Now, while it can detect whether a drive has an installed OS or not, it doesn’t always get the details right. There are some instances when it would provide the wrong name or version number for a particular operating system.

One tool to manage them all

If you’re the type of user who has multiple OS installations on your PC and are looking for an easy way to switch between them, Boot-US can help you out. It’s fast and lightweight, it supports virtually all kinds of operating systems, and it offers some nice management options to round out the package. Recommended.
