Blossom: Social Investing is a free Android application developed by Blossom Social Inc. It is a social investing platform that provides a community of over 20,000 Canadian investors sharing their verified stock portfolios, trades, and investment ideas. It helps users become better investors by allowing them to see what other Canadians are investing in and get notified when an investor they follow makes a trade, along with their rationale.
The application has a social feed that provides tailor-made content for investors and investment ideas. Unlike Reddit or Discord, posts on Blossom are backed up by verified stock holdings and performance, which allows users to focus on the ideas that are worth listening to. Blossom also allows users to securely link their brokerage accounts and view their portfolio in appealing visuals that show them the information they care about without the clutter. Additionally, users can get paid for completing short lessons about up-and-coming Canadian stocks and earn real money. Blossom plans to launch Canada’s first social brokerage in 2023, bringing the social brokerage experience popularized by eToro and Public to Canada.
