Simple But Addictive

The premise of Blocks VR is as simple as they come. You are tasked with lining a number of blocks up in various arrangements. You win if the final block is knocked over as a result of the domino affect set in motion by knocking over the first block. It’s that simple. To keep things fresh, there are over twenty different challenges to tackle and a few different visual options for the blocks themselves (wood, marble, and plastic). There are two different game modes to try your hand at; challenge mode as described above, and free play mode, which is exactly what it sounds like. The graphics of the game are not spectacular, unfortunately, but that doesn’t impact the gameplay itself. If you pull off a particularly impressive run, you can watch your blocks falling again with the replay feature.

A Bit of Fun

Blocks VR isn’t exactly ground breaking. It’s fun for a short while but there’s not really much to keep you coming back. Some different settings or more interesting challenges would help. Still, knocking dominoes over in virtual reality is has its charm.
