A free block puzzle game
Block Sort is a free block puzzle game where you must move a main block to a designated space. It is relaxing to play and can hone your problem-solving skills. There are different levels and each one gets more complicated as you progress in the game.
Block Sort is similar to games like Jewel Sliding Puzzle Game and Number Puzzle Math Riddle Game. The difference is their objectives. In Jewel Sliding Puzzle Game, you have to eliminate the blocks to get to the gems while the Number Puzzle Math Riddle Game requires you to place the numbered boxes in consecutive order.
Straightforward mechanics and fun elements
The great thing about Block Sort is that the objective is easy to understand and the controls are pretty simple; get the big red block to its assigned space by sliding the other blocks out of the way. The destination for the main box is marked by a red outline inside the field. You can drag the blocks up, down, left, or, right to finish the puzzle.
The game doesn’t have a home screen, which means you are directed to the first level and can start playing when you open the app. Some special abilities and blocks can help you solve the puzzles, while unmovable boxes make the puzzles more challenging. However, it’s difficult to identify these items and their functions since the game doesn’t introduce them when they come up.
Nevertheless, solving each puzzle can be rewarding because you will win coins. You can use these winnings to unlock skins for the blocks, which are found in the Skins menu. Additionally, you can earn more coins by watching ads before continuing to the next level. The new skin automatically applies to the blocks, but you can still revert them to their previous designs whenever you want.
The right mix of simplicity and complexity
The beauty of this game is found in its directness. Its clear objective and no-frills controls make it enticing for those who are new to block puzzle games, while the fact that it gets challenging is pleasing for high-level players. Even if special elements are difficult to identify the first time they appear, it’s easy to understand what they are when you use them.
