Free the city from a bloodthirsty cult
Warcave released the demo of their upcoming tactical role-playing game, Black Legend. It’s available for download for PC gamers where they can test the first hour of the game. The game is inspired by folklore and stories from Belgium and the Netherlands during the 17th-century. You will lead a group of mercenaries into the city shrouded in a hallucinogenic fog. In it, cultists rule the streets that follow the alchemist, Mephisto.
Rally the troops
In Black Legend, you lead a mercenary squadron to the cursed town of Grant to help battle the resistance against the dangerous cult of fanatics. Collect tales from refugees, learn new equipment and courses for your party, and visit a variety of places to figure out how to stop the city’s curse from spreading. Explore far into the city to eliminate fog-inducing madness shrouded in the streets of this exciting alternative past of turn-based strategy game.
The game offers a strategy-focused gameplay approach. Each combat should be taken with a tactical focus wherein unit placement, ability combos, and attacks are the key to your survival. It takes its inspiration from retro strategy games but improves the shooting accuracy. There are explosive combos for you to use and mix up your ranged and melee combat. Combine up to 4 alchemic attacks to injure, poison, and debilitate your enemies.
In addition to the attacks, you can customize your character with the game’s wide array of classes. Each one has a unique ability that can be improved with the right weapons, armor, and trinkets. You can even create your own ability sets by equipping cross-class abilities. It’s up to you to choose the difficulty level. Easy mode, if you want to immerse yourself in the story. Ramp the difficulty up if you want to be challenged.
Rich, historical game
Black Legend combines great gameplay with rich 17th-century folklore. Environmental storytelling allows you to dive right into the game and get immersed in it. You will feel this sense of realism while you investigate the alleys and streets of Grant. With the addition of extensive customization options and a rather interesting skill tree building mechanic, Black Legend offers a gripping role-playing game for all kinds of gamers out there.
