Plan your metropolis in Bit City
Bit City is a mobile city-building strategy game from Nimblebit, makers of the skyscraper construction game Tiny Tower. In this game, you found and develop a city, filling its streets with traffic to make money. The more money you have, the more buildings you can add to your city and the more traffic your city can support.
Tap your way to prosperity
Although it visually resembles classic city building games like Sim City, don’t expect the usual level of depth from Bit City. At heart, it’s a casual mobile tap-to-win game without much in the way of simulation mechanics. You acquire new plots of land, then designate them as residential, business or service districts. Once you’ve done this, areas will change and develop over time as they level up, with the old buildings being replaced by new ones. If you see a building you particularly like, you can designate it as a historical landmark to stop it changing, although this only freezes its appearance, it will keep growing in value. You can also levy taxes on your citizens to raise money, as well as deploying new types of cars, planes and boats to your city.
Simple but enjoyable
Bit City isn’t a true city building strategy game, but it’s a visually appealing way to pass a little spare time. Eventually you’ll run out of content, but in the meantime it’s fun to watch your city grow and thrive.
