Free bishoujo RPG game
Be Her Hero is a role-playing mobile game from Genius Studio Japan Inc. This game offers a unique bishoujo anime-like story. It lets you play a high school boy who is secretly the city’s only superhero—but unlike other superhero games, this will neither make you fight unending hordes of enemies nor let you encounter hard-to-win boss fights. Instead, you will try to balance the hero’s relationship between three girls, his schoolwork, and his superhero duties.
Find the perfect girlfriend
Be Her Hero is a visual novel. You play as a high school student—whom you can name—who secretly works as a hero and will woo 3 love interests. Luka is the hero’s childhood friend and a huge fan of Dark Apostle—the protagonist’s superhero name. Sarah is the school’s ice queen who is actually friendly—however, she seeks vengeance against the Dark Apostle, whom she thinks killed her grandfather. Lastly, Maggie is the spunky and feisty gal who became your sidekick after discovering the hero’s identity.
Like most visual novels, the story of the game unfolds as you tap your phone screen. In this game, you will follow the hero while he is at school, as well as while doing his superhero duty. You will also see how he interacts with the three girls. There will be scenes wherein you need to make choices. Choose carefully as it impacts how your love story evolves. In the beginning, the choices come free but as the story goes on, some options will require gems.
The choices will help take your relationship with your love interest further. Don’t worry, though—there are ways to earn your gems. You can exchange the coins you get by playing the mini-games, or you can buy it from the game’s shop. The game comes with multiple episodes. Aside from the first episode, you will need to use your tickets to unlock the episodes or to restart the previous one. You will get a new ticket every day.
Boring pace
If you are looking for an action-packed JRPG, then Be Her Hero is not what you are looking for. Although it features a superhero, there will be no action in this game. Coming from a first-person point of view, everything in this story is narrated by the protagonist.
The entire run of the game is actually pretty boring. The story lacks an intense storyline, and the pace is also quite dragging in the beginning. It takes three episodes to introduce the three love interests. Despite that, the endings of the story feel rushed.
Like reading a manga
Be Her Hero has an interesting plot that caters to players who are into romantic stories. It also comes with an anime-like graphics that make the game aesthetically pleasing. However, the lack of action makes it a bit boring. It feels as though you are reading manga instead of playing a game.
