Modify permission properties of files and folders

Changing the privilege settings of folders and files isn’t something that many Mac users aren’t familiar with. BatChmod allows you full control over permissions within a small and easy to use interface.

When you open BatChmod, simply browse to the file or folder that you’d like to change the permissions on. By doing this, you can target specific files and folders without changing the permissions for your entire system. This is much easier than trying to change permissions in Terminal although it has to be pointed out that it should be used with care.

Changing the permissions can leave certain files and folders inaccessible if it’s not done properly although it should be easier to reverse them using the BatChmod GUI than trying to reverse them using the Terminal. If you’re having problems accessing or file or being told you don’t have permission to access it, BatChmod will instantly give you access.

If you’re a Mac administrator or simply not familiar with the Mac Terminal, BatChmod will make your life a lot easier when it comes to file permissions..
