Free Baba is You parody game
The freeware puzzle game is making a comeback with Baba Is You XTREME. Made by Hempuli, the same creator of Baba is You, this game will once again challenge players to a Sokoban-style gameplay. This time, though, you will have a more difficult time.
Fans of the original BIY game will find Baba Is You XTREME very similar as it has the same gameplay. However, once you play, you will find that it now has a completely spurious physics engine. Moreover, some words have weirder implications. However, this will be shorter with only 11 levels.
Baba is back
Baba is You is an indie game that became a darling among players. While it has simple gameplay, its implications become complex as you play along. Here, you control a white, sheep-like creature to a goal—usually a flag. The catch, however, is that everything on the map is malleable, according to special word blocks. If you arrange these blocks, then the statement becomes true.
Baba Is You XTREME is a parody game that follows the same mechanics as the original. However, it has a completely new physics engine. In this game, Baba no longer snaps a step at a time inside the cells of the Sokoban grid. Instead, it can now move freely with acceleration and friction. This new physics also applies to the other objects on the screen that are IS PUSH.
The rule system is still in place, although some old words have much weirder implications. There will also be new words you can explore. Moreover, you can shift words that are in the corner with dedicated pushing. With this, you can break some troublesome sentences. However, as noted, there are only 11 levels in the game. However, it’s much harder to solve, giving you hours of gameplay.
A must-play for BIY fans
All in all, Baba Is You XTREME is a great addition to the already massively-popular Baba is You. This game took the original formula and tweaked them to make it more fun. It has new physics and new words, adding more challenge to the puzzles you are solving. If you are a fan of BIY, this game is worth checking out.
