Free slide puzzle game
ArtPazz is an Amiga AGA puzzle game by an independent developer named RETREAM. Select from 1 of 10 puzzles, each resulting in a famous painting (including works by Michaelangelo, De Vinci, and Van Gogh). Unlike real puzzles, the size and shape of the pieces can be modified, allowing the level of difficulty to range from easy, intermediate, and hard.
The game supports online multiplayer, allowing up to 8 users to play simultaneously. Besides providing casual entertainment, it’s also incredibly easy to use. All a player needs to have is a mouse to click and drag the tiles into position.
How do you play slide puzzles?
RETREAM is making its return to strategy games with a small puzzle game called ArtPazz. Instead of jigsaw parts, the game challenges you to arrange the tiles and reveal the original image. You will be presented with a preview of the completed puzzle at the start of the round but only for a few seconds. The game will automatically break the image into tiles, signifying the start of the game.
Your only goal is to arrange the tiles in the correct order. There are no time limits so you can take as long as you need to finish the game. There are 10 images already available in the game – all of which are iconic paintings from different eras. It’s an incredibly small number of puzzles, especially considering that other puzzle games have thousands of images to choose from.
It doesn’t mean the game is not replayable, though. You can still play each image in 1 of 3 difficulty modes, and the puzzle pieces are arranged at random. This is thanks to the developers creating the game with AMOS Professional. As for graphics, RETREAM used their own program – ALS graphics – to generate the images in the game. It’s a substantial quality for you to see each image clearly.
A simple alternative to jigsaw puzzles
Artpazz does not deliver anything fancy, but it fits well and is simple to learn and play. It’s suitable for filling up your time with another interactive activity other than scrolling through your social media pages or playing extremely difficult games. Hopefully, the 10 images and 3 difficulty levels will suffice whenever you choose to play this game.
