Customize clothing and armor with Armorsmith Extended
Armorsmith Extended is a free mod for the post-apocalyptic Fallout 4 RPG. This user-created mod reconfigures the game’s armor and clothing system. Players can combine outfits that they previously could not, and companions can equip themselves with more gear. It’s also compatible with Vis-G Item Sorting, which improves inventory management.
Armorsmith Extended notably increases customizable options for players, so now they can greatly personalize the clothing and armor for characters. This completely revamped system also includes new types of armor and new ways to use other mods.
A whole new crafting system
Armorsmith Extended changes how crafting works in Fallout 4 on both a cosmetic and gameplay level. For instance, it resolves several conflicts that prevent armor from appearing on character models, even when they are equipped. This change has no real effect on the gameplay, but it simply improves the characters’ appearances. Armorsmith Extended also expands crafting gameplay.
The new system for creating armor and making modifications allows for a certain level of customization that wasn’t achievable in the base game. Armorsmith Extended’s workbenches allow players to create more different types of armor and clothing than before. That means players now have the opportunity to create the exact character they want, not just visually but also ability-wise.
A boon for armor enthusiasts
Players who find that the armor crafting system in Fallout 4 is a bit limited will have much to like in Armorsmith Extended. The increased variety of armor and clothing provides hours of custom gameplay. Minor alterations that were previously impossible, such as wearing a helmet and bandana simultaneously, are now possible.
For Fallout 4 players who focus mainly on the action or narrative, Armorsmith Extended is less vital. It has no real effect on the story, making it handy but unnecessary. Likewise, owners of other mods that change the armor system, such as Horizon, will find the changes this mod makes might be redundant.
