Extreme off-road racing game for PC
Arizona Derby is a premium racing game for PC developed by Falcon Interactive. It is a vehicle simulator that lets players experience driving modified supercars that were tuned for extreme off-road tracks. It offers wide customization options and various locations to race in.
Combining the extensive car selection from games like BeamNG.drive with the over-the-top gameplay of monster truck titles, such as Monster Jam Steel Titans 2, Arizona Derby offers a unique experience like few have managed to. This off-road racer is an interesting release that fans of this racing subgenre can consider.
New sets of wheels
Arizona Derby is basically supercars with monster truck wheels and tricked out for off-road racing. You will be participating in the Offroad Wars, and race in various extreme events. Your journey will take you across six locations across the world, with 30 tracks. Each one features unique environments and conditions that you need to be wary of as you race and conquer to win.
As you gain more fame and money, you will get to unlock the game’s selection of 87 exotic supercars. Choose an ADriver based on your style and upgrade their abilities to help you in races. ADrones help detect dangerous situations and deal with other racers. There’s also a unique mechanic that lets you step out of your car to collect AirDrops, which contains bonus loot and money.
You will also encounter multiple car crews and their corresponding gang bosses. Defeat them all to get a chance to face The Immortals, and earn the coveted spot at the top of the off-road racing scene. However, the game falters when it comes to the basics. The controls are unresponsive and imprecise, and the overall car physics are quite off.
Skin-deep
Overall, Arizona Derby has a very intriguing premise, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. It seems the game focused too much on providing a grand and visually appealing presentation that everything else was left unpolished. Until its glaring issues are addressed, it is hard to recommend this game as it is. You’re better off playing something else.
