Healthy living doesn’t have to be hard
Argus is the complete package in terms of healthy living applications, with features for monitoring your diet and counting calories, a pedometer, a sleep tracker, workout plans, and graphs and charts to analyze your performance.
Does it all
Most health applications focus on one particular use, such as run tracking, improving your diet, or monitoring the quality of your sleep. But Argus proves that you don’t need a separate app for all of these features. It automatically tracks all your physical activity (distance, pace, and calories burned); monitors how well you sleep; provides workout plans; and allows you to set goals for topics such as how much water your drink and how far you’ve walked.
Argus also taps into the current trend of taking pictures of everything you eat by providing a camera that allows you to photograph your food. This is then converted into a food diary so you can keep track of what you’ve eaten and identify areas for improvements (as well as be shocked that you eat so much in a day).
The app then brings all of this information together and displays it in charts and graphs so you can see what you have to do to achieve your goals.
If you’re one of those people who struggles to stick to fitness regime or healthy eating plans, you’ll love the discover option, which is like Twitter for healthy living. By following friends or people of interest you can access their news feed. This allows you to share your activity, receive encouragement, and get workout tips.
And if that isn’t enough for you, then Argus also integrates with external wearable devices and apps, such as FitBit and Apple Health.
Simple yet sophisticated
Argus boasts a beautiful design and a very user friendly layout. The customizable honeycomb-shaped homepage grid gives you easy access to your most important metrics and goals. My homescreen, for example, has daily steps taken, calorie counter, and how many glasses of water I need to drink. By tapping on each of these honeycombs you can access graphs and charts to check your progress or change an aspect of your goal.
The left sidebar contains an at-a-glance view of your main options, all of which are very easy to set up and use. It’s super intuitive and doesn’t overwhelm you with information or make the settings too complicated. Considering how many features Argus packs in, it is surprisingly simple to use and proves very easy on the eye.
The only fitness app you need
If you want just one app to help you adopt a more healthy lifestyle then Argus should be top of your list. It’s the most complete fitness application on the market at the moment.
