Mobile version of the battle royale game

Apex Legends Mobile is a free action game developed by Respawn Entertainment. As the name suggests, this is the mobile version of the popular battle royale game Apex Legends. With this, you can experience action-packed battles right from your smartphones.

As far as gaming experience goes, Apex Legends Mobile plays like the PC or the console version of the game. However, it is designed for touchscreens, with streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations. However, the game is far from complete and comes with rough edges. Although, the gameplay feels much better than what players might expect from a beta game.

What does the game offer?

Apex Legends is a free online multiplayer game that pits players against each other. Here, you will fight with your enemies inside a shrinking island until the last man or team stands. The game received positive reviews from critics, with some considering it a worthy competitor to other battle royale titles, such as PUBG. It is now one of the most played video games of all time by player count.

Apex Legends Mobile brings the Apex Legends action to your mobile devices. As mentioned, the gameplay feels a lot like the PC and console versions. However, everything will be optimized for smaller screens. The names of the locations are emblazoned over the map while you are in the dropship. The attack options, including crouch, jump, melee, and fire weapon, will also be displayed on the screen for you to tap.

The mobile version is still in the beta stage, which means the content will be limited. The only map available is World’s Edge, and there are only eight Legends that you can choose from in the game lobby. There is also a limited arsenal of weapons. However, it does bring something new, including a World Chat feature. Here, you can send messages and talk to literally anybody who’s currently in-game.

Should you play it?

Overall, Apex Legends Mobile is a must-play for battle royale game fans. The app provides almost the same experience as the original versions. With this, a learning curve will not be a problem for hardcore fans. Although, you will have to adjust to the touchscreen features. Despite a few limitations and a few gameplay issues, the game is definitely off to a good start.
