Puzzle video game
Angry Birds Casual is a physics-based puzzle game developed by Rovio. Like the previous titles in the Angry Birds series, you will still be flinging your birds at targets and other precarious structures with a rubber slingshot. However, instead of pigs, you will be hurling the birds at Caged Hatchlings. You will still have a limited number of birds at your disposal, so it’s important to have an efficient and accurate strategy. Angry Birds Casual offers new capabilities and endearing graphics, making it suitable for those that have just started playing mobile games.
More than just flying!
Angry Birds Casual features the same characters as the original game. The only difference is that they have automated abilities that make playing easier. For example, Red causes a ruckus that damages five random objects at once. Chuck, on the other hand, dashes in a horizontal motion and damages blocks.
The most notable ability is Silver’s dive. It is the only ability that is able to pierce through structures. Note that he can only jump in short-range, but the downward dive delivers the most damage among the five Angry Birds characters.
The objective of the game has also changed. Instead of fending off pigs, you will rescue Hatchlings within the structures. With your slingshot, you must angle the Angry Bird towards your desired target. You will need to topple the structure over and free the baby bird. The baby birds will float to the right-hand side of your screen, signaling that you have rescued them. You proceed to the next stage once you’ve collected all the hatchlings.
Fly with caution
Hitting the mark is incredibly important in Angry Birds as you have a limited number of moves per stage. Stages consist of three different structures, which you must topple down in 15 moves or less. Moves are equal to birds, so you also have 15 assorted birds. The bird that you will fling will be automatically given to you. With this, you will not be able to choose which bird you will fling.
On the left-hand side of your screen, you will see your total number of moves, your current bird and the next bird. These are important in making a moment-by-moment strategy. Although the game is highly unpredictable, it is extremely rewarding. You receive stars at the end of every stage. They signify your rank in the game. The more points you score, the higher your rank will be.
Adorably challenging game
Both Angry Birds Fans and casual players will enjoy Angry Birds Casual. Hurling birds towards targets is one of the most straightforward game mechanics available. At the same time, it challenges players by setting the number of birds you can fling. You get a lot of helping from the capabilities of each bird, which are activated automatically. Overall, Angry Birds Casual is a suitable puzzle game for all age user-levels and all ages that want to focus solely on the main game rather than side quests or additional goals.
