ATS goes to Montana
American Truck Simulator – Montana is a game utility from SCS Software. It is an expansion pack for the truck driving game of the same name. It brings a new map, where you can drive your truck as you deliver your cargo, this time, the wild and natural US state, Montana.
Like other ATS expansion packs, the Montana DLC captured the look of the Big Sky State. From the rugged cowboys at rodeos to ghost towns and state parks, everywhere you go will show you a realistic picture of Montana. However, there will be no revolutionary changes in the mechanics.
What does the DLC do?
American Truck Simulator is a truck simulation game that takes players across the United States of America. Here, you play as a freight truck driver tasked to transport items. The game takes you to various US states. However, some of the locations are only accessible as new features within the DLCs that the developer released. The latest of these add-ons is the Montana expansion pack.
As mentioned, the DLC allows players to explore the untamed northern state of the country. You can drive around the vast and unspoiled mountains of the American West and even explore ranches and rodeos, ghost towns, and state parks. You can even experience the dazzling historical treasures of the Dinosaur Trail. Of course, you can also see the glistening glacial lakes, snow-capped mountain peaks, and blue-ribbon trout streams.
The Montana add-on is the ninth expansion for the truck driving simulator. As with its predecessor, it only adds a new map and does not introduce revolutionary changes in the mechanics. Moreover, the licensed truck brands will be the same as the base game offers. Although, note that this is a stand-alone expansion. It still requires the basic game of the American Truck Simulator to work.
Should you download it?
Fans of the popular truck simulator are in for a new treat with American Truck Simulator – Montana. The app expands the content of the already good game by providing players with new locations to explore. Here, you can experience the back-country flavor that Montana offers. However, it only adds new places to explore. It does not introduce gameplay changes.
