Free Custom Music Player for Advanced Users

Amarok is a music player with various optional extras and integration options. Thanks to a start on Linux operating systems, users have developed a large number of additional extra scripts to help improve the overall functionally. These extras are now available across all systems resulting in a truly flexible music player.

Custom Music Choice

Since its Linux release in 2003, Amarok has become one of the most well-supported music players available. Both the development team and the active user base have created additional extra features for over a decade, resulting in a fully custom creation. This doesn’t mean that the basic software is lacking as it is a complete music player straight away, with all the regular features expected such as library integration and LastFM connectivity. Getting the most out of Amarok, however, requires an understanding of what’s going on under the hood. For that reason, only experienced users will really have a reason to choose this music player over the many other options.

Not for Everyone

Amarok is a solid music player with a unique look and huge range of custom options. With so many other more streamlined and user friendly options available it is difficult to recommend this to anyone other than the most demanding experienced users.
