2D multiplayer aerial arcade action!

Altitude is an online multiplayer 2D shoot ’em up. It mixes old school aerial combat gameplay, with modern multiplayer action.

This demo allows for unlimited play, but only allows some unlockable content. As you play, and ‘level up’ you’ll get rewards like new planes, weapons and extras. Much more is available in the full game, but you can get a lot of fun out of the demo.

To play online you have to register, give yourself a screen name and so on, and then you’re ready to go. There are expensive and useful training missions which teach you how to fly, and combat. It’s really easy to pick up, and the keyboard controls make a lot of sense. The two main game modes are a free for all death match style times game, and a team mode, where you have to pick up a special bomb and destroy the opposing team’s base.

The bomb the base mode is especially good, if your team works together! Graphically it’s cheerful, with a cartoony style that extends to the sound too. You can chat with other players as you play, too. For old school arcade action, Altitude is fantastic: Easy to play, difficult to master. Often the online games can be a bit long – 5 minutes is better than 15 – but nevertheless they are good fun.

Altitude offers a great mix of simple gameplay and online battles!
