A classic maze game with Alphabet Lore-style characters
Alphabet Merge: Maze Puzzle is a classic maze game that personifies letters in the same way Alphabet Lore does and even uses similar sound effects to bring them to life but without the grisly storylines.
Developed by MeeGame, Alphabet Merge shares some of the mechanics of the Mazes: Maze Game. However, it boasts graphics and characters that are similar to Endless Alphabet.
Who can play it?
This maze & fighting game is rated PEGI 7. It was developed for the fans of maze & Alphabet Lore who use Android devices.
How does the maze work?
In this merge and maze game, each level comes with 3 stages: a maze, a fight, and a bonus round. The bonus round has a wheel-of-fortune-style coin multiplier. The maze stage involves route tracing. Players must first draw their way through a square, rectangular, triangular, or hexagonal maze and towards the portal, collecting keys and treasure.
How does merging work?
Players merge 2 identical letters to create the next letter in the alphabet (2 “A”s make a “B”). Merging can also create new characters, each with its own health and fight capacity. They must then let the letters fight the enemy’s characters. Excess letters stay on the sideline, shooting beams at the enemy.
What’s special about it?
What makes this one stand out is the merge element. Avoiding obstacles like saws and dynamite, rescuing fellow letters, steering clear of the enemy’s “I” mosquitoes and “J” bees, and collecting rewards on the way to a portal is all well and good, but merging and battling letters is this maze game’s strong suit.
A fun twofer
There’s no shortage of Alphabet Lore-style maze games, but virtually any Android device user with a few minutes to spare can enjoy playing this doddle of a maze and merge game.
