Free achievement enabling mod
Achievements Mods Enabler is a free achievement enabling mod for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. Bethesda blocked achievement gains in both Skyrim and Fallout series for players using mods. Therefore, if you want to gain achievements in Skyrim while modding, you’ll need to download this add-on.
Nexus Mod creator xSHADOWMANX or Sumwunn on GitHub created this mod. There’s an alternative available called SSE Engine Fixes, which is a SKSE64 plugin. This mod bundles enabling achievements with a variety of other in-game fixes; notable fixes include projectile bugs and lip-sync issues. Another user interface mod you can try is UIExtensions.
Installs with SKSE64 or author’s DLL loader
Skyrim Script Extender or SKSE64 isn’t needed if you’re using the mod author’s loader file. Once the loader’s installed, install the plugin via NMM. To check if the mod was correctly installed, you can check download paths.
If you use the author’s loader, the download path is ‘Skyrim Special Edition/Data/Plugins/Sumwunn’. The path for SKSE will be ‘Skyrim Special Edition/Data/SKSE/Plugins’. If you updated SKSE from an older loader version, be sure to delete all older files.
Easy-to-confirm mod is working
You can tell the mod is working if you don’t see warnings for achievements. The [M] that designates a modded save also doesn’t appear in the saves menu. Previously modded saves will need to be resaved to remove the [M].
This mod won’t award achievements from completed content in older saves. You may need to start again to trigger achievements on the content you already completed. If your saves disappear after downloading, select ‘show all saves’ to get them to appear.
It doesn’t require updates
The creator designed Achievement Mods Enabler to be version-independent. That means it should work regardless of which version of Skyrim SE you are playing. If the mod doesn’t work, Sumwunn is very responsive and will have it fixed quickly.
Mod with confidence
Achievement Mods Enabler won’t get you VAC banned on Steam as Skyrim SE doesn’t use anti-cheat. Modding doesn’t necessarily mean you’re cheating, yet SSE disables achievements for those with mods. Sumwunn’s mod is an excellent plugin for completionists who wish to get all of the achievements.
