Horror adventure based on Asian folklore
A Drop Of Your Blood is a free adventure game made by indie developer FueKer for PC. In this first-person horror title, players will learn of ancient Asian folklore that’s been passed down for generations. It tells of a forbidden love oath that no couple should ever try to perform.
Similar to Phasmophobia, A Drop Of Your Blood offers a dark and atmospheric presentation that adds to the tension and sense of dread that its narrative is trying to invoke. This demo version gives players a preview of what they can expect when that full game comes out.
‘Til death do us part
A Drop Of Your Blood’s narrative is derived from Hmong culture that speaks of a forbidden blood oath. It’s a pact made by two lovers who wish to be with each other for the rest of their lives. Elders forbade this ritual as it results in two people getting bound spiritually. If one dies prematurely, their spirit won’t transcend to the afterlife until the other joins them.
In this game, you play as one-half of two lovers who performed the ritual against everyone’s advice. In a twisted hand of fate, your other half has prematurely perished, and you now have to face the consequences of your actions. The one you held so dear to your heart, now haunts you and will test the depths of your love and devotion for one another.
As mentioned earlier, this is just a demo version, and the game is still very much in active development. As such, expect the bugs and issues that you will encounter to be addressed and fixed in succeeding updates. Also, certain changes could happen and additional content can be included as more feedback and suggestions are gained from the community. Be on the lookout for those.
Truly unique
All in all, A Drop Of Your Blood is a rare entry in the horror game genre. Its premise and inspiration are truly unique and fresh and it’s something that no other, if not, very few developers have tried before. This game will find its audience with the Asian community, but it’s so different than the usual that anyone would find it intriguing to play and experience.
