Supermarket VR – A Virtual Reality App for Marketing Research
Supermarket VR is a free Android app developed by VRR in the category of Utilities & Tools. It provides a unique way to conduct marketing research using virtual reality technology. The app allows users to buy products in a virtual supermarket using either linear shelves or free movement around the store. The purchases made by the user are displayed on a heat map at the end of the purchase.
The application offers two options for Marketing Research. The first one is using lineal shelves, where the user can buy products by sight and see the product details. The other option is to move freely through the supermarket using a GamePad or teleportation to different sections of the store. At the end of the purchase, a heat map of the route taken by the user is displayed. This app can be adapted to any real marketing study, allowing the user to define the supermarket map, the types of shelves, the sections, the placement in each linear, the products, and the detail.
