Free RGB synchronization program

RGB Fusion by Gigabyte is an RGB synchronization utility program. You can personalize your own type of gaming platform from motherboards and graphics cards to peripheral products. It appears to be better than other RGB applications for customizing lighting effects but does it perform better? You will find that RGB Fusion offers the bare minimum when it comes to supported products and systems. The program also has questionable choices when it comes to user experience.

What is RGB Fusion?

RGB Fusion is Gigabyte’s own optimized user interface. PC builders who want to personalize their Gigabyte hardware should certainly consider this homegrown software. As for other users, it’s fair to assume that this is close to many other systems, especially MSI Mystic Illumination. Unfortunately, RGB Fusion only offers a portion of the features that other rival programs do. Many that want comprehensive customization options should review the software with MSI or Aura Sync with ASUS.

RGB Fusion offers a basic RGB customization system that is easy to use even for beginners. The GUI and controls are pretty simple, taking away the hard part of customization by connecting your supported hardware. You own a Gigabyte motherboard, for example, but you have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. The machine only includes the motherboard. Another miss by Gigabyte is that new RGB colors are not immediately applied.

There are several ways that this dilemma can be corrected, but the trial-and-error process can be a long one. Finally, it can be very tedious to choose a color since you need to type in the number code (no copy+paste) for the specific color that you want to use. If you find this too troublesome, you have the option to use the color picker if you are more open to trying different colors.

Light it up and see for yourself

Given that Gigabyte debugs and updates its program somewhat frequently, RGB Fusion could still be a great application as more features get added in the future. For now, though, it does not impress as much as its rival programs do. It simply has the most basic of features included in its software. Unless you already have Gigabyte hardware on your PC, RGB Fusion still deserves a try.
