Watch the best of Channel 4

All 4 – Watch Catch Up Episodes & Live UK TV Shows, known simply as All 4, is a free entertainment mobile app that lets you watch and stream British TV shows at no cost. Developed by Channel 4 Television Corporation, this multimedia app offers numerous TV series, boxsets, and movies from the UK-wide television channel, Channel 4. However, it often crashes and fails at buffering, and there are annoying ads you have to go through, too.

Is the All 4 app free?

Channel 4 is a British free-to-air public-service television network that offers a variety of mainstream media. Its b238facd-413d-4ebf-bc12-74053df11610, All 4, operates similarly and is free of charge for most of its content—majorly funded by advertising. It also offers live TV channels and is available on television, PC, and mobile. While the mobile app’s performance sometimes isn’t up to par, it still functions well enough for those on the go to enjoy its content.

This app offers over free 1,000 shows—not just from Channel 4 but from E4, Film4, VICE, and other networks. Additionally, it has films and boxsets from various genres, which you can even download to watch later. Aside from the live-streams’ commercials, however, you’ll also have to contend with some persistent ads that pop up whenever you navigate the app. These can become frustrating pretty fast because some are absurdly long.

To get rid of them, you must avail of the All 4+ premium subscription. On the other hand, if you prefer a bigger screen for watching, you can actually cast directly to your TV. The mobile app has a reputation for crashing and buffering, though. With a smart TV, there’s no need for that as your All 4 account is synced between all your compatible devices so you can just pick up where you left off.

Needs to improve

All 4 is a nice mobile app version for the popular Channel 4 service. It lets you access hundreds of shows and movies that you can stream and even download. Plus, it’s compatible with other devices so you can switch platforms whenever. However, it’s riddled with issues that frustrate most users. Not only does it often buffer and crash when loading, but it also pesters you with ads that are a bit too long.
