Plug in and listen to music anywhere

Music Player is a free multimedia app from JRT Studio Music Players that offers a convenient yet aesthetically pleasing way for you to play music continuously on your device. Apart from your favorite tunes, the app also allows you to play other audio files.

It is very similar to Google Play Music, which offers many of the same features, however, the latter allows you to purchase songs and albums from the app directly. Meanwhile, the songs and audio on Music Player are taken from the ones already available on your device.

Convenient listening tool

Music Player makes use of a simple interface that’s easy to navigate. You can sort through your music library by artist, album, or song. There’s also a search bar that you can make use of so you don’t have to scroll through hundreds of items just to find what you’re looking for. The app even allows you to create your own playlists.

Another great thing about the program is that you can control the app right from your notification drop-down menu. This enables you to move on to the next song in your playlist or pause and play as you like. With this, you won’t need to open up the app each time you want to control whatever you’re listening to at the moment. 

However, comparing the program to similar ones, its features are pretty basic. Since you can find the same thing elsewhere, it becomes forgettable when put up against competitors. There’s also a persistent flickering bar that appears at the bottom of the screen when you move between tabs. It’s not exactly obstructive but the constant flickering does become a bit of an eyesore.

Good at what it does

Music lovers and casual listeners alike can find something to love about Music Player. While the app is overall very simplistic and has a few visual glitches, it at least makes sure to provide the best of its most basic features. It offers great convenience with a little widget that allows you to control what you’re listening to right from your notifications.
